23 March 2023 Expedited License review: Ballie Ballerson

Following a serious incident inside Ballie Ballerson, Curtain Road, Shoreditch on Saturday 18th March. The Police requested an expedited license review with Hackney Council.
A male has had his face slashed inside the venue, causing a significant facial injury which is expected to be life-changing.
Due to ongoing Police investigations, this was a closed review held on 23 March 2023.
The venue already has considerable conditions within its license. These further conditions were added by the committee:
- All customers must enter via a metal-detecting search arch and, where required, be subject to a further search by metal-detecting search wands;
- All SIA door supervisors must wear body-worn cameras;
- For the next 28 days a senior manager from Pinnacle Protection shall be present at the premises when it is open for licensable activities from 9pm on Friday and Saturdays
